Single Appointment Dental Care

Most dental restorative methods require more than one visit to the dentist. This means that on the first visit, you get an injection of anesthesia, your tooth prepared, an impression taken, and a temporary restoration put on your tooth. You make a second appointment for a couple of weeks later, get another injection, have the temporary pried off (if it hasn't fallen off already), and have a permanent restoration put on. Why go to the dentist a second time when you don't have to? With CEREC®, the procedure is done in a single appointment, start to finish.

Finest Dental Materials

A CEREC® tooth restoration isn't just convenient, it is also healthy. Many years ago, dentists had few options to repair decayed and damaged teeth other than amalgam, gold, and other metals. With …

Las Vegas residents looking into dentist backgrounds online

With so many people moving in and out of Las Vegas each day, many new residents find it hard to search for a trusted Las Vegas dentist. Online review sites such as Dr. Oogle have become a very popular way to post testimonials or look at reviews from patients.

While these reviews should be looked at with some caution, they can be a source of good information. Look for repeated or consistent comments to get a feel for the type of care provided. For example, if multiple reviews note friendliness of the staff, you can generally expect to be greeted with a smile.

Modern Dental Care in Las Vegas Dentists

Denture wearers in Las Vegas are upgrading to Overdentures

The problem of missing teeth is compounded// when all teeth are lost either to disease or simply old age. As with traditional dentures, the survival rate of these overdentures has been a subject of interest for dentists across the world. A new study published in the Journal of Periodontology found that the survival rate of implant-placed overdentures was an impressive 95.4 percent over a decade. In the upper jaw or the maxilla the survival rate was found to be 87.3 percent, while it reached an as…

Las Vegas Dentists are promoting Invisalign

One of the great things about Las Vegas is the access to modern dental technology. Las Vegas plays host to a number of dental conventions, seminars, and continuing education for dentists. Among the latest technologies that local dentists are using to help patients is Invisalign- the brand name for a technology that allows a dentist to straighten smiles without the use of traditional braces. Metal Braces are now an outdated method of straightening teeth for many people. There are several dentists and in Las Vegas now offering orthodontics without the embarrasing discomfort of a mouth filled with metal. Modern Dental Care is sponsoring an Invisalign Event in March 2009. Unfortunately, there are a limited number of appointments left. As of this posting 6 reservations remain for patients who qualify for Invisalign treatment. Consultations are required prior to the Invisalign Event and are free of charge. Potential candidates will recieve $500 towards Invisalign treatment and Dr. Edington w…
