Most dentists here in Las Vegas are accustomed to using gold and porcelain fused to metal crowns to restore broken and decayed teeth. Cosmetic minded dentists like myself commonly use all porcelain crowns or porcelain fused to metal crowns. Many cosmetic dentists are using porcelain fused to zirconia crowns because the zirconia adds strength to the crown with out dark metal under the crown. There are now a few select dental labs offering an even stronger solution: All-Zirconia Crowns. My office started using these stronger crowns two years ago and have not seen one single crown break.
